| In most families, the wife is the gardener and the husband is the model railroader. Together they form a Garden Railway team and can spend their time together with a common interest. And the children and grand kids come and play with the finished railroad. |
| Garden railroading is one of the fastest growing segments of the model railroading hobby to date. Garden railways combine several hobbies into one. There is model railroading, gardening, scale model building, miniature gardening, rock gardens and many other aspects of the hobby. |
